Farming in the Abyss of Sinners rewards players with Abyssal Gear, special equipment not found anywhere else in the game, with unique properties of being extremely varied through random options, including unique effects.
Items dropped in the castle have unique random options not found in most other locations. During Awakened states, special merchants can be found to exchange loot from the castle in a variety of locations inside it.

Abyssal gear have their effects restricted until Abyss Fragments are spent to change its form, unique to them (similar to the Weapon Forms). They also cannot fit any Alchemist-in-a-Box enchant.

Equipment found in the Abyss are not always the best gear in the game, but can allow for unique builds for being composed of 5 random options instead of the average 1 or 2, always with high values.
* The King, being the one owning the Crown of Orchestria for a limited time, can activate a timed exp or drop rate bonus for everyone on the server, or unlock extra locations on the Leonard Fast Travel(for a cost).
* Alternatively, they can apply those bonuses only to himself, including a considerable stat boost and power bonus, in exchange for making himself PvP-killable by any player outside safe zones. Griefing rules do not apply in this case.

The one true king of the new world

The Rhapsody Castle is a special dungeon restricted to Lv 90+ characters.

It features a unique PvPvE environment where players can fight for rewards. It's open to all players, be it solo, parties or guilds.

The Castle has 3 states:

 • Dormant: PvP is disabled and all monsters can be farmed and fought, as a regular dungeon. Bosses will not spawn during this time.
 • Awakened: PvP is enabled and all monsters can be farmed and fought, players have their own loot table when killed inside the castle. Bosses will spawn regularly during this time.
 • Chaotic: Detailed below.

The Castle cicles between Dormant and Awakened state every 8 hours. This means on each day, their time tables will be alternated. Chaotic follows its own rules.

PvP will be enabled and griefing rules do not apply inside the castle during these periods.

Lore

While the king has been missing for years now, the castle has been without its king... causing major issues.

The castle shows a strange "living" behavior for staying without its throne for extended amounts of time. There is no known explanation for this, at least not one understood by the Cathedral of Blades currently.

A small quest will be available and require players to be there during the 3 states to properly complete it, awarding a unique garment costume.

Chaotic Phase

Chaotic Phases will be activated on the first Season update. This gives time for everyone to prepare properly. Details below may change/update before it goes live.

During Chaotic Phases, the Throne Room will be accessible and more unique monsters will be spawned. The access to the Throne Room changes locations every time a new Chaotic Phase starts.

Players have a chance to Claim the Throne during this phase.

 • Finding the Throne Room will spawn a strong monster inside it. This monster is virtually immortal. Players are advised to handle the monster in any way they see fit.
 • A player that claims the throne needs to interact with it. A map-wide announcement will be made mentioning someone is claiming the throne.
 • The player will begin a X-minutes cast time. This cast time can be interrupted by taking damage or some actions. The player that claims the throne and finishes the cast time is crowned the King.
 • The Castle will go back to its dormant and awakened state after this happens. It will then not enter chaotic state for a time between 5 to 15 days.
 • The king will receive the Legendary Item Crown of Orchestria. This is a rental item with a duration equal the time until the next Chaotic time (so the King is the only player that actively knows when their reign ends).

Rewards

Items dropped in the castle have unique random options not found in most other locations. During Awakened states, special merchants can be found to exchange loot from the castle in a variety of locations inside it.

 • The King, being the one owning the Crown of Orchestria for a limited time, can activate a timed exp or drop rate bonus for everyone on the server, or unlock extra locations on the Leonard Fast Travel(for a cost).
 • Alternatively, they can apply those bonuses only to himself, including a considerable stat boost and power bonus, in exchange for making himself PvP-killable by any player outside safe zones. Griefing rules do not apply in this case.
