The Ultimate Challenge

The Abyss of Sinners is an epic dungeon that will be built over time through new seasons.

It's based on Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy And will follow a descent through multiple floors of challenges and dungeons.

It is planned to have 9 Floors, with one being added on each new season.

It is the ultimate challenge of Luna Obscura. Parties of 6 will be -strongly- recommended to tackle all the content.

Overview

Each floor of the Abyss of Sinners is made of an open area, like a regular dungeon, but with unique hazardous effects and themes based on the current floor.

The monsters there are also very aggressive with unique skills and patterns, and while some can be dealt with solo, others require proper coordination.

Defeating the boss of the floor opens up the next floor until it respawns.

Details are not provided as the intent is to be a complex area to learn and navigate properly. It also has no minimap displayed for each floor.

Finally, any player who dies in this area loses 1 Base Level. If a player drops below Lv95, they cannot re-enter the area until they level up to Lv95 again.

Preparation

Players can refill their vials on specific locations inside the area, for a price.

Strong equipment and preparation is required to attempt clearing the Abyss of Sinners, with parties being strongly recommended, specially as a safety net.

Monster skills and AI adapt according to party composition and skills used.

Rewards

Farming in the Abyss of Sinners rewards players with Voidborn Gear, special equipment not found anywhere else in the game, with unique properties of being extremely varied through random options, including unique effects.

Voidborn gear have their effects restricted until Void Fragments are spent to change its form, unique to them (similar to the Weapon Forms). They also cannot fit any Alchemist-in-a-Box enchant.

Equipment found in the Abyss are not always the best gear in the game, but can allow for unique builds for being composed of 5 random options instead of the average 1 or 2, always with high values.
