The Signets are unique passives granted by equipment. They cannot be learned with skill points.
The Enchantment of equipment in Luna Obscura allows all items to be customized to closely match your intent.

While equipment provide the usual bonuses in Luna Obscura, some of them may also provide a higher level of a given signet, which is a unique effect you can build-up by stacking multiple effects. Equipping multiple pieces of equipment that grant the same signet will stack their level bonuses, providing increasingly higher effects the more of that effect is stacked.
Items have their own effects and bonuses, but sometimes you want something extra, something that can help you close that small gap that is left, or just want a larger safety net for your life, or more usage out of your resources.

With a wide array of signets available, each with their own gameplay changing characteristics, Signets are a unique way to change how a character works. With freedom to gather a wide variety of lower level effects or double/triple-down on a few choices, enabling special effects on builds and a unique, completely new playstyle.
While they will drop with some unique properties once in a while, and even rare, not seen anywhere else versions, you can also customize those items in a wide variety of ways...

By design, signets are easy to understand and use, work automatically and require no micro-management, being all passive effects that automatically work as they are granted.
For this we have the special Alchemist-in-a-Box items. or AIB.

Finally, some signets are rarer than others, with stronger effects where getting even Lv2 can be a huge game changer.

Note: Signets are similar to "Set Skills" from Monster Hunter games, where you wear multiple pieces with the same traits to level them up.

They still grant a smaller, constant bonus per level increased. But getting key levels is the most important part of any Signet build.
When in doubt, its recommended to properly check your AIBs being used to make sure you are using a safe, predictable AIB.

In-depth details about each can be found ingame.
AIBs are a well known craft of Artisans all over Orchestria, with some being rumored to have been created by the famous Dr. Clockwise, known for his weird genius creations.

The Enchantment of equipment in Luna Obscura allows all items to be customized to closely match your intent.

Items have their own effects and bonuses, but sometimes you want something extra, something that can help you close that small gap that is left, or just want a larger safety net for your life, or more usage out of your resources.

While they will drop with some unique properties once in a while, and even rare, not seen anywhere else versions, you can also customize those items in a wide variety of ways...

For this we have the special Alchemist-in-a-Box items. or AIB.

Random Options on Drops

Luna Obscura's equipment may drop with random options.

In most cases, they will drop with 1 or 2 random options. These will provide a variety of bonuses, like Extra Max HP %, Increase a stat by 1 or 2 points or raise your damage of a given type.

Different items have different possible rolls, and there is no guarantees or fixed possibilities. While in most cases armor will improve defensive capabilities, you may find an armor that specifically mentions it magic properties, and have a chance at having some extra magical attack effects or such, or find said armor in a place filled with undead enemies and the armor has specific properties linked to the dead.

There are also some properties that are extra rare, or items that under specific locations or circunstances provide very different effects.

Finally, some extra rare cases may exist with undocumented results and details.

All rolls and possibilities are meant to be found ingame and are not listed.

What are AIBs?

Alchemist-in-a-Box(AIB) Boxes are ways for you to change the random options of your equipment.

They are strange boxes found in a large variety of versions, each of them allowing the items to have its properties changed into new effects.

AIBs are designed for specific equipment, most times affecting all items of a given category, with some specific AIBs being focused on specific item groups, themes and versions.

They will always remove ALL enchantments on an item currently and replace them with the new ones.

AIBs can be found all over the game. with some specific versions being sold on shops, some being found as drops, some being crafted and so on.

There is an unknown amount of AIBs ingame, but numbers easily hit over 100.

Sentient Boxes

AIBs are known to be semi sentient. Opening the box you will find a small drawing of an alchemist inside.

While some commonly used boxes are sold and traded around without much care, as they are pretty well documented and stable, some other boxes can be...difficult.

Some reports are of the alchemist straight up speaking about items they like or don't like, some being crazy and rambling about nonsense or some just screwing with the item effects.

When in doubt, its recommended to properly check your AIBs being used to make sure you are using a safe, predictable AIB.

AIBs are a well known craft of Artisans all over Orchestria, with some being rumored to have been created by the famous Dr. Clockwise, known for his weird genius creations.
